A Passion We Love to Share

Otaki is a Japanese hobby and collectibles store located in the heart of downtown Victoria, BC.  We are passionate about bringing the excitement and culture of Japanese hobbies to our community, with a carefully curated selection of Gundam, Anime figures, Japanese collectibles, Model kits, and More.

The Community we want to Foster

For years, we’ve seen gaps in the local hobby market, and our goal is to change that. In Japan, hobby culture is deeply rooted in communities across the country, with dedicated hobby districts and specialty stores found throughout major cities and prefectures. It’s a culture built around Passion, Collecting, Creativity, and, most importantly… Community!

Bringing a Taste of Japan to Victoria

The Onda family has travelled extensively throughout Japan to experience this culture firsthand and to better understand what makes the Japanese hobby community so special. We wanted to bring that same feeling home to Victoria.

A Place where everyone can belong

At Otaki, we believe collecting is personal. Whether you’re a lifelong collector, a dedicated Gundam builder, an Anime fan, or discovering the hobby for the very first time, we want you to feel welcome the moment you walk through our doors.

OTAKI Built with love for everyone

Our mission is simple: bring a piece of Japan’s incredible hobby culture to Victoria and create a place where everyone can find something they love, connect with others, and feel at home.
