AK Acrylic Satin Varnish

AK Interactive AK11238 3rd Gen Satin Varnish is a water-based acrylic varnish designed to give painted models and figures a smooth satin finish. The satin sheen sits between a high-gloss and matte finish, making it useful when you want to reduce the shine of a gloss surface without completely flattening the appearance of the paint. AK Interactive specifically formulates this varnish for figure and vehicle finishes.

The varnish can be applied with a brush or through an airbrush. For airbrush use, AK Interactive recommends thinning it with AK11500 Acrylic Thinner. It is suitable for a wide range of scale-modeling applications, including Gunpla, figures, vehicles, aircraft, and dioramas, where a controlled semi-gloss appearance is desired. Shake the bottle thoroughly before application to ensure the formula is properly mixed.
