Kawasaki Zepher ZR400C

The Aoshima 1/12 Kawasaki ZR400C Zephyr '89 recreates the motorcycle that sparked Japan's legendary "naked bike" boom. Released in 1989 during the height of the fully faired sport bike era, the Kawasaki Zephyr stood apart with its timeless styling inspired by the classic Kawasaki Z400FX. Rather than chasing outright performance figures, the Zephyr embraced a traditional upright riding position, air-cooled inline-four engine, and clean, minimalist design, quickly becoming one of the most influential motorcycles of its generation.

Part of Aoshima's BIKE series, this 1/12 scale plastic model kit faithfully reproduces the 1989 ZR400C Zephyr with finely molded bodywork and authentic mechanical details. Builders have the option to install either the early offset twin-lens meter or the later bullet-style twin-lens instrument cluster. To improve durability and ease of assembly, metal screws are used for the steering stem and wheel axles, while vinyl tubing accurately replicates the motorcycle's wiring and hoses. Measuring approximately 175 mm in length when completed, this kit is an excellent addition for collectors of classic Kawasaki motorcycles and enthusiasts of vintage JDM bikes. Paint and cement are required for assembly.
