Oil Paint ABT015-Shadow Brown

Abteilung 502 ABT015 Shadow Brown is a specialized oil colour created for adding nuanced shadows, depth, and tonal variation to scale models. Its developed brown tone is particularly useful for enhancing fine details and creating natural-looking shading without the harsh contrast that a pure black colour can produce. It is designed specifically with model weathering and finishing techniques in mind.

Shadow Brown can be used for filters, localized shading, washes, and other oil-weathering techniques on Gunpla, military models, vehicles, aircraft, figures, and dioramas. Its extended working time allows the modeller to blend and manipulate the colour after application, making it useful for gradually building depth and colour variation. It can also be combined with other brown oil colours to create additional tonal and chromatic variation across a model.

Abteilung 502 oils use a formula with reduced oil content compared with conventional artist oils, providing a more controlled application and a more matte finish suited to scale-model weathering. ABT015 is supplied in a 20 ml tube.
