Oil Paint ABT060-Light Rust

Abteilung 502 ABT060 Light Rust is a specialized oil colour formulated for creating realistic light rust and oxidation effects on scale models. Its warm rust tone is particularly useful on exposed metal structures, exhaust systems, armor, tools, and other areas where lighter forms of corrosion naturally develop. It can also be used as part of layered rust effects, providing a lighter tone that works especially well alongside darker rust colours.

The oil formula provides a long working time, allowing the colour to be blended, softened, or manipulated to create subtle rust variations. ABT060 can be used for washes and localized weathering, or combined with other Abteilung 502 rust tones to build more convincing multi-layered corrosion. The formula uses less oil than traditional artist oils, helping produce a more matte finish suitable for scale modeling. It contains PY42 and PR101 pigments and is supplied in a 20 ml tube.
