Oil Paint ABT180-Copper Oxide Blue

Abteilung 502 ABT180 Copper Oxide Blue is a specialized weathering oil designed to reproduce the blue-green patina that develops on aged and oxidized copper. Rather than being used as a conventional blue paint, it is intended to be applied over an existing base colour and then partially removed, leaving a subtle layer of colour that creates realistic oxidation and surface variation. It is particularly useful for weathering copper structures, fittings, and architectural details on models.

The distinctive blue-green tone can also be used to create alternative weathering effects on Panzer Grey finishes and sci-fi vehicles. Its oil formulation provides plenty of working time for blending and removing excess paint, making it possible to build subtle patina effects gradually rather than applying an opaque colour. ABT180 comes in a 20 ml tube.
