Red Primer - ABT120

Abteilung 502 ABT120 Red Primer is a warm red-brown oil colour formulated specifically for scale modeling and weathering. Despite its name, this is an oil paint colour rather than a primer, making it useful for reproducing red oxide primer, creating warm underlayers, and adding colour variation to finished models. It is particularly effective on vehicles, ship hulls, sci-fi models, figures, and accessories.

The colour can be used for filters, dotting, mapping, stippling, and localized weathering. Its warm red-brown tone is also useful for creating rust-related effects or adding warmth beneath subsequent layers of colour. Abteilung 502 oils use a modeling-focused formulation with reduced oil content for a more matte finish while retaining the extended working time needed for controlled blending. The paint is supplied in a 20 ml tube.
