Sanding Sponge 1500 Tamiya

The Tamiya Sanding Sponge Sheet 1500 is a flexible fine-grit abrasive designed for finishing and surface preparation on plastic models. Its aluminum oxide abrasive coating is backed by a 5 mm-thick sponge, allowing it to conform to curved surfaces, edges, and hard-to-reach areas without being as rigid as conventional sandpaper.

With a P1500 grit, this sanding sponge is well suited to fine finishing work on Gunpla, scale models, and other plastic model kits. It can be used to smooth surfaces, refine areas after coarser sanding, and clean up imperfections before painting. The flexible construction also makes it useful for working around curved or irregularly shaped parts. It can be cut into smaller pieces with a modeling knife and is suitable for both wet and dry sanding.
