Sanding Sponge 600 Tamiya

Tamiya 87148 Sanding Sponge Sheet 600 is a flexible abrasive designed for smoothing and finishing plastic model parts. The 600-grit aluminum oxide abrasive is backed by a 5 mm-thick sponge, allowing the sheet to conform to curved surfaces and contours that can be difficult to sand with rigid sanding tools. It is particularly useful for cleaning up cut joints, refining surfaces after nub removal, and preparing parts for painting.

The flexible sponge backing also makes the sheet useful for reaching recessed and uneven areas without putting excessive pressure on the model surface. The sheet can be cut into smaller pieces with a hobby knife, allowing you to create custom-sized sanding pads for different applications. It can be used for both dry and wet sanding and is also suitable for finishing wood and metal.
