SMS Hyperchrome Bright Silver

The Scale Modellers Supply (SMS) HyperChrome Bright Silver Marker is a specialty chrome marker designed to produce a highly reflective metallic finish on Gunpla, scale models, miniatures, and other hobby projects. Its advanced pigment formula is designed to create a bright, mirror-like chrome effect with minimal effort, making it especially useful for trim, mechanical details, emblems, exhausts, and other metallic parts.

For the strongest chrome effect, apply the marker over a smooth gloss black base coat. Different gloss base colours can also be used to alter the resulting tone. The marker is available with either a 0.5 mm fine tip or 3.0 mm tip; the 3.0 mm version is better suited to larger surfaces, while the 0.5 mm version provides greater control for small details. SMS recommends using a water-based clear coat only to protect the chrome finish without significantly reducing its reflective appearance.
