Tamiya Electric Handy Drill

The Tamiya 74041 Electric Handy Drill is a compact, low-speed electric drill designed specifically for plastic model building and light woodworking. Its 450 RPM motor provides a useful combination of low speed and high torque, making it well suited to drilling controlled holes in plastic without the excessive speed that can quickly generate heat and damage model parts. The pistol-grip design and trigger-style switch provide comfortable control during detailed hobby work.

The drill is supplied as an assembly kit, adding a uniquely Tamiya touch to this practical workshop tool. Two chuck types are included, allowing the drill to accept bits from 1 mm to 3 mm in diameter. It is useful for Gunpla modifications, scale-model detailing, scratch building, magnet holes, drilled-out weapon barrels, and other projects requiring clean, controlled holes. Tamiya specifies the tool for plastic and wood and advises against using it on metal.
