Toyota Soarer MZ11 '81

The Aoshima 1/24 Toyota MZ11 Soarer 2800GT-EXTRA '81 faithfully recreates the first-generation Toyota Soarer, one of Japan's most advanced luxury grand touring coupes of the early 1980s. Introduced in February 1981, the Z10 series combined sleek aerodynamics with cutting-edge technology, including the powerful 5M-GEU twin-cam inline-six engine and a futuristic electronic instrument display. Its blend of performance, luxury, and innovation earned the Soarer the prestigious Japanese Car of the Year award in its debut year, cementing its place as a landmark in Toyota's history.

Part of Aoshima's The Model Car series, this 1/24 scale plastic model kit accurately reproduces the elegant styling of the 2800GT-EXTRA while including several period-correct customization options. Builders can equip the car with the included front spoiler, side skirts, and genuine Intra aluminum wheels originally fitted to the VR-Turbo model, allowing for a tasteful factory-inspired custom appearance. Based on the classic tooling originally developed in the 1980s, this kit remains an excellent project for collectors of classic JDM vehicles and enthusiasts of Toyota's golden era. Paint and cement are required for assembly.
