Experience the fun of hands-on engineering with the Tamiya Water Scooter, part of Tamiya's Educational Construction Series. Rather than using a traditional propeller, this unique model is powered by a centrifugal pump that draws in water and expels it through a rear nozzle to propel the scooter forward. It's an engaging introduction to fluid dynamics and mechanical design, making it an excellent project for builders of all ages.
Designed for simple assembly, the kit consists of just a handful of parts that snap and screw together, making it easy to build while demonstrating how a centrifugal pump works. The adjustable rudder allows you to steer left and right, while changing its angle also affects the speed and direction of the water jet. The included pump and Submarine Motor Mini are mounted using a suction cup, allowing the propulsion unit to be reused in other creative projects after assembly.
